The Friends of Hamilton Square is a group specifically interested in ensuring that the square continues to represent the heritage of a unique Georgian Square.

The Friends already have
- a team that provides local planning application advice ;
- a Guide for maintaining the unique Square, and other heritage homes.
Hamilton Square, a unique Georgian Square is part of a conservation area which is shown in the map below.
Originally the Friends was just one of the groups supported by the Birkenhead & Tranmere Community Benefit Society.
The Friends currently have a ongoing involvement with the Backin’ Birkenhead Town Team.
