Birkenhead family history was brought alive when Mike Elkerton MBE, gave a presentation of his research to the Friends on 2nd October 2026, hosted by POD (Hamilton Street).
Called ‘From Flaybrick to Ballymacnab’ , Mike gave the history of his 70 year search to find his ancestors graves.
The event, organised by the Friends, was funded via Central Birkenhead ‘Pride in Place.’
The event also allowed local residents and the wider Friends membership to focus on how to improve Central Birkenhead and be part of the ongoing regeneration discussions.
